Elsa of Meerstone
Elsa joined us as a 7 week old pup in 1986. She was a typical G.S.D - faithful, intelligent and devoted to her family....
In her time - she was a beloved companion to Fred, Cubby and in the last year of her life - Axel. Although, by the time Axel came along - her health was beginning to deteriorate. She was finally given sleep - to save her from further suffering - in July 2000.
The above pictures - show Elsa playing in the snow and two years later - with Chris.
The picture below was taken on holiday at Duckpool Bay - Elsa and Fred watching the cows in the adjacent field.
Happy Days !
Elsa was blessed with good health throughout her life - suffering with arthritis in the later years and progressive CDRM in the final few months of her life.
She died in our arms at home - where she belonged....and she will always hold a special place in our hearts.
